AN ASPIRATION PRAYER FOR ALL LIVING BEINGS

The interdependence of all living beings requires that we adopt a shared sense of responsibility for the survival and welfare of all members of this planet. To accomplish this requires a compassionate aspiration, an aspiration that can be shared by all those that value the joy and diversity of life:
May we recognize the value of all forms of life, affirming the inherent dignity and interdependence of all living beings as well as the intellectual, artistic, ethical, and spiritual potential of mankind.
May we care for this community of life with compassion and love, understanding the universal responsibility to prevent environmental harm, protect the rights of all beings, and promote the common good.
May we ensure that human rights, fundamental freedom and social and economic justice are provided for the entire community of mankind.
May we carefully consider the consequences of our actions, realizing their profound effect on future generations, and strive to provide a legacy of kindness and abundance, in order to support the long term flourishing of Earth’s natural resources and ecological and human communities.
May we manifest our belief in the value of all life by taking on our
responsibility as world citizens.
May we protect and restore the integrity of earths ecological systems
May we avoid environmental harm by supporting sustainable ecosystems
and biological diversity, adopting methods of production and
consumption that minimize environmental degradation.
May we encourage that both current scientific knowledge and ancient wisdom be applied to ecological sustainability.
May we ensure that human rights, fundamental freedom and social and
economic justice is provided for the entire community of mankind.
May we empower and support the underprivileged, ensuring economic and
social equanimity, by eliminating discrimination in whatever form.
May we eliminate corruption and encourage governing institutions to be environmentally accountable.
May we treat all living beings with respect and consideration,
promoting a culture of tolerance, nonviolence, peace and understanding.
